Festivals and Events Ontario Top 100 award logo.Join us on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10 AM to 6:30 PM for the Markham-Milliken Children’s Festival, presented by Tim Hortons! The fun takes place outside of Aaniin Community Centre – 5665 14th Ave.

This enchanting event has been named one of the top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario, and promises to be a joyous celebration, filled with fun and learning.

Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottle to fill up outside at our water refill station, or inside Aaniin Community Centre’s water refill stations!

Lane Restrictions Notice

Lane restrictions will be in effect to support the safety of attendees, participants and residents during the event. The following roads will have lane restrictions between the hours of 10 AM to 7:00 PM:

  • Vanni Avenue between 14th Avenue and Street A
  • Street A between Vanni Avenue and Middlefield Road

Ember Circus is going to have you moving and grooving with her interactive hula hoop show. You’ll be amazed at her manipulations! Then you can learn some hula hoop tricks yourself with a big hula hoop party. Ember will bring hoops for all to twirl & whirl. It’s a legit hula hoop hit!
Bubble Show
Bubble Show
Bubble Show entertainers provide interactive party entertainment with tricks and feats and bigger and bigger bubbles! A real hands-on treat, guests will be bubbling over with joy as they take part in funtabulous games and exciting experiments.
Magic Show
Magic Show
Guests can expect a children’s magic show including a
mix of comedy, cool modern magic tricks, classic illusions
and large colourful props.

Girl Pow-R
Girl Pow’R
Girl Pow-R is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnicity all-girl pop band. Girl Pow-R made history as part of the first-ever group of young people to be nominated for a JUNO award in the Children’s category.
Madame Buskerfly
Madame Buskerfly
Combining her offbeat humour with the use of objects, Madame Buskerfly has developed a show that blends physical comedy with circus skills. Her show has delighted people of all ages and nationalities with its direct approach and involvement of audience members.

Free parking is available at Milliken Mills Community Centre & Library7600 Kennedy Road, where you can access the free shuttle service to the event site (to and from Aaniin Community Centre & Library).

Free parking will also be available at the Middlefield Collegiate Institute parking lot – 525 Highglen Ave. Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shuttle Service (Free)

Shuttle services will run from Milliken Mills Community Centre to Aaniin Community Centres and back every 30 minutes.
