Why are we doing this?Main Street Markham Reconstruction

The community wishes to transform Main Street Markham from a vehicular dominated street to one that better supports commercial activities in the core and enhances the Markham Village Heritage Conservation District. On a Markham-wide scale, the project will allow planning for the overall transportation network up to year 2021 and provide a framework for growth management.

Who is paying for this?

The City of Markham is investing $5,525,200 into the project, to be phased financially over time.
