MARKHAM, ON – June 24, 2024 – Markham Fire and Emergency Services (MFES) is excited to announce the launch of its “Summer of Safety Series” by hosting four public education open houses aimed at promoting fire prevention and emergency preparedness.

These events, held at different fire stations across the city, will provide residents with valuable information and practical skills to enhance their safety and readiness in case of emergencies.

"Our goal is to equip residents with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe and prepared,” said Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “That’s why we’re thrilled to bring the Summer of Safety Series to Markham. These fun-filled and informative open houses offer a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, learn from our dedicated professionals, and enjoy some family-friendly activities."

Each open house will feature a variety of interactive displays, informational booths, and hands-on activities designed to educate the public on fire safety measures and emergency preparedness.
