If you are a new, regular full-time employee, welcome to the team! Please read and review this section carefully. Here you will find more information to help you prepare for your first day and beyond.

New Hire Enrolment Package

Welcome to the City of Markham! Please download, print, and complete the forms below, if applicable. You will need to bring hard copies of the completed forms with you to the “New Hire Enrolment Session” on your first day of employment. A time will be scheduled by your Supervisor with the People Services Department located on the 3rd floor of the Markham Civic Centre, 101 Town Centre Boulevard. You can park across from the Flato Markham Theatre (across from a set of flags). Attendance in this session is mandatory.

Note: New Hire Enrolment Sessions are held every Monday. If Monday is a holiday, the session is held on the next business day.

What to Bring

Please complete the forms below and bring them with you on your first day, if applicable:

• Tax Forms (Federal) | (Provincial) — not required for basic deductions
• Statement of Health Form — Only for those purchasing Optional Life Insurance (more information can be provided at the New Hire Enrolment Session)
• Language Survey (for languages other than English)

• New Employee Onboarding Toolkit (secure file, password required) — This will help you plan for your first week and beyond.
• The Sun Life Group Benefits Booklet — Please read the document that applies to your new job level.
