Integrated Leisure Master Plan
What is it?
This master plan is a long-range planning study for Markham’s parks, recreation, arts & culture and library facilities and services. It identifies current needs, service improvements and future facility provision strategies. The City of Markham is committed to providing safe, accessible, and community-responsive services and facilities that appeal to a wide range of interests and abilities.
Given that Markham is one of the fastest growing and dynamic communities in Canada, increasing by 119,700 residents from 2016 to 2031, timely short and long-range planning is critical to ensuring that facility and service provision that addresses the needs of the public coincides with the pace of development.
2019 Integrated Leisure Master Plan
City of Markham Council approved this master plan on November 13, 2019.
