Special Note:
The purpose of this Special Development Services Committee meeting is to provide a detailed breakdown of the Yonge Corridor Secondary Plan Study - Interim Report to Committee in response to the adopted resolution of Markham City Council on January 28, 2025.The meeting will be conducted as a workshop and as such, deputations will not be heard at this session. There will be opportunities for members of the public and stakeholders to participate at an upcoming Community Information Meeting to be scheduled, and future Development Services Committee meetings on the Yonge Corridor Secondary Plan Study.

Markham Council is responsible for setting the policies of the Corporation. It approves recommendations made by various committees through by-laws and resolutions. The Mayor is the head of Council. Meetings generally occur twice a month and special meetings may be called by the Mayor or upon the request of the majority of members of Council.
Meetings are held in the Markham Civic Centre and are open to the public.
