Let a Plastic Free July kick start your summer!
Did you know, every piece of plastic that’s ever been created still exists in our world? Small changes make a big difference, and reducing your household waste is easy.
Pick one or two things that you, your friends and family can change to reduce your single-use plastics:
- Stay hydrated – don’t forget to always have a reusable water bottle handy.
- Be healthy - avoid pre-packaged food, choose fresh, bulk, and loose food.
- Protect our earth - use plastic-free decorations when celebrating. Please lose the balloons!
Visit markham.ca/ReduceSingleUsePlastics. Not sure where to recycle your items? Try the City’s What Goes Where tool.
