Flato Markham Theatre to re-open January 2022
MARKHAM, ON – November 12, 2021 – The City of Markham is pleased to welcome commercial producers, community presenters and audiences back to the Flato Markham Theatre starting on January 16, 2022. This comes as the Province incrementally lifts public health and workplace safety measures – including capacity limits and physical distancing requirements - under A Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario and Manage COVID-19 for the Long-Term and as vaccination rates continue to rise.
“Flato Markham Theatre continues to be an important champion of our City’s vibrant arts and cultural diversity,” says Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “The pandemic has heavily impacted the live arts industry but I am amazed by the innovative ways our Flato Markham Theatre leadership team as well as artists, musicians, singers and dancers have pivoted during this time. As the Theatre reopens on January 16, I hope you, your family and friends will have the opportunity to safely visit and enjoy a show while supporting wonderful talent.”
New shows for the 2022 Diamond Season will be announced soon. All rescheduled 2020 performances are currently listed and on sale on the Theatre’s website.
Tickets will go on sale at the Box Office between 12 PM and 4 PM, from Monday to Friday at 905.305.7469 starting in early December. They are also available anytime online.
The Theatre is now also accepting venue rental inquiries and bookings for dates in 2022 and beyond.

When entering, you must show:

- Proof of completion of City of Markham COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire on your mobile device or a printed copy.
Vaccines are safe, effective and are the best way to protect yourself and others in our community from serious illness. For more information about how to get vaccinated, visit york.ca/covid19vaccine.
