Get ready for a spectacular celebration at AppleFest 2025!
This year, we’re transforming our 25-acre facility into a vibrant hub of local businesses, skilled artisans, and engaging activities that support our community’s economic development.
AppleFest returns September 27th at Markham Museum.
2024 Accomplishments:
- We were proud to partner with Rouge River Brewing Company to give our guests a refreshed AppleFest experience.
- We brought back live entertainment to AppleFest this year, presented by School of Rock Markham!
- We unveiled our new 500mL Grab n’ Go bottle of fresh-pressed apple cider at AppleFest 2024! This convenient size was perfect for those on the move, offering all the delicious taste of our traditional 2L bottle in a more portable package. Both sizes were available for purchase throughout the day while supplies lasted.
- 🎪 Interactive Exhibitions & Live Demonstrations: Guests experienced history in action and stepped into the past with live demos and hands-on activities like apple schnitzing.
- 🍔 Delicious Eats: Visitors enjoyed a diverse array of mouth-watering food and beverage favourites in our Brews and Bites section powered by Rouge River Brewing Company.
- 🎤 Live Entertainment: A vibrant lineup of live entertainment was enjoyed throughout the duration of the event, presented by School of Rock Markham.
- 🚂 Family Fun: Families hopped on our scenic Don Valley North Trolley trackless train, presented by Don Valley North Toyota. Kids bounced around in the Inflatable and Games Area, got their faces painted, and played mini-golf.
- 📸 Memory Makers: Guests strolled through various destinations on our grounds and captured memories with us.
- 🏛️ Immersive Historical Experiences: Visitors witnessed the blacksmith shop, print shop, and textile studio come to life as historical artisans demonstrated their skills.
- 🍏 Cider Making & Pottery Workshops: Guests learned the art and science of cider making with live demonstrations and participated in pottery workshops guided by a skilled potter.
- 🖼️ Hands-On Exhibition Spaces: Attendees explored engaging exhibitions like "A Picture of Markham - The Art of Pat Wheeler," the reimagined "From the Ground-up" archaeology exhibit, and our STEAM-based exhibits "Markham Moves" and "Markham Community Makers."
- 🌿 Exploring 25 Acres of Fun: With immersive programming, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. It was a journey through history, food, fun, and entertainment for the whole family!
