Furniture & Bulky Items
Broken bulky items are collected every other week on the same day as your regular Clear Bag Garbage. No appointment needed.
- Items must be placed neatly at the curb by 7 AM.
- No earlier than the night before;
- Maximum of 3 items;
- If you are in an apartment or condominium, contact your property manager.
Bulky items include:
- Couches
- Chairs — wooden, plastic
- Mattresses, box springs
- Toilets
- 2-piece toilets must be separated when set out at the curb. The tank must be detached from the bowl for the health and safety of the collectors.
- 1-piece toilets (tank and bowl are one unit) can be set out as is.
Local charities accept donations of new and gently-used home furnishings, appliances and renovation items. Always check with the charity to confirm if your item is acceptable, drop off instructions or to possibly arrange for a free home pick-up.
