Water Meter Payment

The City of Markham is pleased to provide its residents and business owners with the opportunity to apply for water meters online. The application process has two steps:

Step One
The applicant provides the required information on the screens that follow, including applicant contact information, proposed location of meter installation, and location owner information.

For larger Industrial/Commercial/Institutional (ICI) meters, you will also need a copy of the approved site servicing plan, an engineer’s letter indicating peak water flow rate & recommended meter size, and installer contact information.

Step Two
The applicant is advised by e-mail if the permit is approved or not. Approved applications up to $5,000 can be paid online using the City's secured payment site. Applications over $5,000 can be paid only by cheque. If the application is not approved, the applicant is advised by e-mail that the application is refused.
