Markham Museum is looking to celebrate Markham’s Everyday Superheroes in a new exhibition. Nominate a person, group, or organization that makes Markham a great place to live. You can nominate anyone (living or deceased), including yourself!
Our core themes are compassion, care, inclusion, and representation in the community. We hope to spotlight the good work of members of our community and inspire others to carry on their legacy through acts great and small.

Indigenous Histories Research Project
Our understanding of Markham's history has been told predominantly by non-Indigenous peoples, and in many cases, has been limited to the period following the arrival of European settlers, There is a wealth of history before that time. It’s time to learn about the stories and histories of the Indigenous peoples in the area now known as Markham.
Markham Museum has partnered with First Peoples Group, an Indigenous-owned and Indigenous-led consulting firm to lead discussions with various Indigenous communities.
We invite all self-identified Indigenous people and allies living in Markham to attend the information session on May 8 at Markham Museum. You will learn more about the project, as well as, have your voices heard.
