50th Annual Markham Santa Claus Parade
Santa’s coming to Markham on Saturday, November 30 from 11 AM to 1 PM!
Join us for the 50th Annual Markham Santa Claus Parade, presented by Tim Hortons, in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Markham. The theme of this year's parade is “The Magic of Christmas.”
The parade will run along Main Street Markham, north of Highway 7 to 16th Avenue.

A Markham Milestone: Budget 2025 - Have Your Say!
On October 28, 2024, Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti presented A Markham Milestone: Budget 2025 of $674.7M. This year’s budget includes a 3.88% tax rate increase, equating to about $53.54 for the average household. Key investments include $81.7M for climate resilience, $40.3M for road upgrades, and expanded funding for community events.
As part of the Public Consultation phase, the City encourages residents to learn more about Budget 2025 and to share your feedback.

The Good Neighbour Handbook provides residents with guidelines on fostering a respectful, safe, and harmonious community. It covers a wide range of topics, including property maintenance, waste management, parking, noise regulations, and pet ownership.
The contest is open to Markham residents, aged 18+ only. One entry per household. The contest ends Nov. 30, 2024.

The Ontario Planning Act and Ontario Heritage Act mandate the posting of notices related to the respective Acts. As of July 1, 2024, any municipality without a local newspaper may publish Planning Act notices on their website. Heritage Act notices are permitted to be posted on the City website as of May 3, 2023.
