2024 Holiday Donation Drive
The City of Markham is collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys as well as non-perishable food, pet food and personal care items to support those in need in our community. Donations will go to the Salvation Army, Markham Stouffville Hospital Children’s Centre and Markham Food Bank.
Toy Drive
Now until December 16, Markham Fire and Emergency Services is collecting unwrapped, new toys for those in need in the community this holiday season. Toys will be donated to the Salvation Army and the Markham Stouffville Hospital Children's Centre.
Toy donations can be dropped off at any Markham Fire Station or Markham Civic Centre (Thornhill Entrance).
Food, Pet Food and Personal Care Items Drive
Now until January 6, the City of Markham's By-law Enforcement and Regulatory Services Department is collecting non-perishable, unexpired food (including pet food) and personal care items for this year's donation drive. All donations go to Markham Food Bank.
Items most needed:
• Canned vegetables
• Canned meat/fish
• Rice
• Cereal
• Baby food
• Pet food
• Towels and blankets for pets
• Toiletries
• Feminine hygiene products
• Cold-weather clothing (coats, gloves, scarves, etc.)
Donations of non-perishable food, pet food, and personal care items can be dropped off at Markham Civic Centre (Thornhill Entrance), 8100 Warden Avenue (Main Lobby) or any Community Centre.
