MARKHAM IS BREAKING FREE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTICS
Small changes make a big difference. Let a Plastic Free July kick start your summer!
Rethink, better yet, refuse single-use plastics for one month and see the difference your new habits make for environment and your wallet!
Here are some tips on how you can make a difference:
- Be ready. Keep several clean reusable mugs in your car when stopping for your morning coffee or grabbing a take out lunch.
- Be prepared. Add to your grocery list what single-use plastic items you need to switch out for reusable ones.
- Be local. This is a great time of year to shop farmer’s markets, bring your reusable shopping and produce bags.
